Sunday wakes up stretching arms and yawning.
Monday’s ballad calling to be sung.
Tuesday harvests tangerines in orchards.
Wednesday’s children dance on moonlit nights.
Thursday afternoon the floors need mopping.
Friday brushes egg on braided dough.
Friday bakes six hallot and two kugels.
Shabbat–bride bedecked in white – a queen.
First Day’s morning – light swims in murky waters.
Second Day – sea turns its back on sky.
Third Day splashes seed in stars of apples.
Fourth Day – moonbeams perch on blades of grass.
Fifth Day’s octopuses blink at oysters.
Sixth Day – lambs chase lion-cubs over hills.
Sixth Day’s twilight’s donkey on a rainbow.
Shabbat – angels clap – G-d’s work complete.
