Falling – by Mina Gordon
As an old friend, I am sure you”ll forgive
Unsolicited advice about how you should live
Life’s never smooth, but full of potholes and bumps
Winding paths, mud puddles, unexpected humps.
There are times we can run, there are times we must crawl,
But don’t stop just because you are afraid you will fall.
Falling is part of the journey, a must,
To prove perseverance and the strength of our trust.
“Sheva yipol Tzadik v’kom” King Shlomo advises
“The tzadik falls seven times but he always rises.
Now I will tell something most surprising!
Your surroundings are uplifted with each fall and rising.
When you keep on going despite the frustration
It’s the journey that counts more than the destination.
This avoda gives Hashem Yisborach much pleasure,
For falling is not failing, it’s gathering treasure.
Beautiful, Mina. A real inspiration!
So nice to see you on here Mina! Hatzlocha
Mina, thank you for this uplifting poem, Your writing is an inspiration to us all:):)
Mina, Hashem has given you talent . You should continue to use your talents to inspire! You are a true inspiration! Brocho and Hatzlocho in everything you do!!!
